Despite some illnesses going around in August, Waverly Grade School had 85% of our PreK-5th grade students that had 90% or better attendance! 🎉 Regular attendance helps our Bullpups build strong reading skills and stay on track for success. **Door of Distinction!** Today, we recognize a student who consistently goes above and beyond. Recently, while a teacher was sweeping the rocks from the sidewalk, this student asked to help. When told it was okay to go play, he insisted on lending a hand. His thoughtfulness, respect, and friendly attitude toward everyone truly stands out. That student is... Brogan! A big thank you to **Grand Central Station** for providing a gift card to celebrate Brogan’s kindness and hard work.

WHS and WJH FBLA students attended the BOE meeting this evening. WHS Vice President Allie Stukey spoke to the BOE asking for permission to attend a leadership conference in OKC. The WJH students were present to answer questions about the proposed bylaws for their new chapter.

Tomorrow, Monday 9/09, is a Late Start. Doors open at 9:30a, and classes begin at 10a. Daycare (7a) and PreK (7:55 a) will operate as usual, with breakfast provided for both. #itsagreatdaytobeabulldog
Don't forget that tomorrow, Monday, September 9th, is a Late Start Day. Our the doors at WJH/HS will open at 9:30 and class will start at 10am. We will have breakfast available for students when they get to school if they need to eat!!

Just some reminders about the state fair trip tomorrow!
Due to a hiccup with our tshirts, we need everyone who has a Lebo-Waverly marching shirt from past years to make sure they wear it tomorrow!! Anyone who does not have this shirt will receive a plain gray shirt for tomorrow's performance.
