This student has been recognized for the Door of Distinction because she has worked hard to notice the needs of her classmates and care for them. She is often looking for ways to help other students or adults in the building. We are so proud of her behavior that is worthy of praise! Keep up the growth, Lilyana! You make a positive difference.

The WGS 3rd grade class wanted to show appreciation to the KCPD for all they did on the day of the Chiefs' Super Bowl victory parade and pep rally. The class decided to write notes and draw pictures of appreciation, and send them to the KCPD. They got a very unexpected surprise today when they received a letter of appreciation from the KCPD and KCPD stickers. So proud of our students for finding ways to show appreciation, compassion, and empathy after such a tragic situation.
