The WGS 3rd grade class wanted to show appreciation to the KCPD for all they did on the day of the Chiefs' Super Bowl victory parade and pep rally. The class decided to write notes and draw pictures of appreciation, and send them to the KCPD. They got a very unexpected surprise today when they received a letter of appreciation from the KCPD and KCPD stickers. So proud of our students for finding ways to show appreciation, compassion, and empathy after such a tragic situation.

This student is being recognized for the Door of Distinction for always giving 100%. Whether it is class work or helping a teacher or another student, she always goes above and beyond. Everyone should look at her as an example of what hard work looks like because she never gives up! Keep up the amazing work, Kailee! #itsagreatdaytobeabulldog

These three girls are being recognized for the Door of Distinction for being excellent examples to others.
