Dear USD 243 Families,
I would like to welcome everyone back for the 2020-21 school year. Our sincere hope is to provide an educational experience that is as close to normal as possible for you and your family. The best way I can think of to keep school close to normal is to make individual choices that help mitigate the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
USD 243 and Coffey County have developed many plans, procedures, and policies to best protect ourselves and others around us. Most, if not all, of the planning documents can be found on the District and School Website. Our leaders have tried to anticipate as many scenarios as possible that might be cause for concern to our students, staff, and families. School will definitely look and feel different.
In order to keep our schools open and to keep each other as safe as possible, we feel these procedures are extremely important. Some people may not agree with all of the requirements that have been developed. These procedures are necessary if schools are to open and to continue to operate as normally as possible. Please try to be flexible and understanding as we navigate these uncharted waters. Most people agree that children need to return to school. Our hope is that these special considerations are not long-term. Where things go from here is up to all of us.
Please keep your child home if they are sick with a Fever, Cough, etc. Communicate with the School or your health care provider if you have questions about an ill child. We do have some essential guidance and protocols available on USD243KS.org
The school district has adopted several safety measures that are recommended by the Coffey County Health Department, Kansas Health Department, as well as, the CDC. Safety Measures include but are not limited to: wearing face masks indoors while at school, social distancing greater than 6 feet, temperature screenings of students and staff, better air filtration and circulation, and many more measures that are too numerous to mention.
Once again, it is our goal to be in school in person as normal as possible. We can do this together. We need everyone’s support. Cooperation is critical.
If you have any questions please contact your child’s school attendance center. Sincerely,
Corey Reese
Corey Reese, Superintendent Lebo-Waverly USD 243

Don't have an "Access Code"?
Si no puede ver este articulo en Español, puede cambiar el idioma en la esquina inferior derecha.
Access codes are used to link a student to his/her re-enrollment record. Most schools will "claim" this code on behalf of parents to save them time. If your school did not send you an "Access Code" by email/text, then you most likely don't need one. You simply need to login to your account and complete the forms.
If you don't have an access code but it's time to Re-Enroll your student, here's what you can do:
1. Login to your account. On the Student Dashboard look for the green Re-enroll button under the Actions section (on devices with a small screen or on a mobile device you may have to scroll to the right). If you see the button, you are in the correct account. Click Re-Enroll to complete your student's forms. Do NOT click the "Add returning Student" button as you will be prompted to enter an access code.
2. If you don't see the student's name and Re-enroll button under the Student Dashboard then you are in the wrong account. Please log out and contact your school for the correct username.
3. If you did receive an access code, check out our guide here on Re-Enrolling with an access code.

If you were a cheerleader last year, please turn in your uniform to the office ASAP! Thank you

Thank you to the City of Waverly! Travis brought some picnic tables to the school for us to use at lunch or for outdoor classes!

We have several bugs to still work out of our online enrollment process! Please let us know if you are having problems and what those problems are.
Here is a temporary fix for one of the problems! KSHSAA COVID-19 Form.
We are in the process of fixing it, but have to wait for the host company to unlock the form.
In the meantime, Right under the title, KSHSAA COVID-19, there is an empty box. Please put in that box, Yes my child has COVID-!9 or NO my child has covid.
You will then be asked later in the form, if your child has tested positive or had a positive test. Check Yes or No which every applies. If you check NO, enter today's day in the space for testing date. Then you must check symptoms. If your child doesn't have COVID, CHECK EVERY SYMPTOM! We will know that because you said NO in the 1st box, and checked NO and entered today's date, and checked all symptoms, you child doesn't have COVID.
At the bottom, there are 3 boxes to sign, the first box, PLEASE ENTER PARENT'S INITIALS!
THANKS FOR BEING STAYING WITH US AS WE WORK OUT THE BUGS!
ALSO, for students not taking part in athletics, please go ahead and complete the athletic forms.

Parents and Guardians, an email has been sent to your account asking what type of instruction your child will be receiving this school year.
Please take a few minutes to complete the Instruction Type form in your email.
Thanks! Mrs. W.
