WHS Prom 2020 The walk in will be a little different this year! At 5:30, the kids will parade their cars down the main street from the city park to the new gym. Then each couple will walk down the street to the community building. Please line both sides of the street to take pictures. Please do not park in the block of the community building. Kids need to meet at the city park at 5:00.

WHS PROM 2020 If anyone would like to help decorate for prom, we will be starting at the community building at 6:00 pm on Thursday, June 25th and 8:30 am on Friday, June 26th.

Waverly High School 2020 Seniors- if you want to set up a display area for yourself at graduation, you can do so at 1 p.m. on the day of graduation, July 11th, under the pavilion at the park. There will be table space.

There is plenty of food left at the high school! Come and get it!

Technology Return Computers and Hotspots may be returned to school via appointment. If you are making an appointment to pick up your students' belongings at school, you can also drop off the computer and hotspot at that time. If you would like for us to schedule a pickup from home, please contact Doug Piper via email or phone at the information below. Scheduled pickups will begin Thursday, June 11. Students’ may keep the computers and hotspot if there is a need, but will need to be returned by August 1. All computers, Hotspots, and chargers being returned must be placed in a plastic bag with the students’ name either on or inside the bag. Please make sure to include all chargers. ECKAN Head Start provides FREE early childhood development services to families who qualify. Services vary in each county and community, based upon the needs identified through a community assessment process. Families can sign up for the following service options: Home-Based 90-minute, weekly home visits for families with children ages prenatal to 5 years. Head Start focuses on the development of the “whole” child and family. This means, we help families explore children’s overall health, mental health, social-emotional, and physical well-being as well as focusing on the typical intellectual development of children, including children with disabilities. Head Start believes parents are their child’s first and most important teacher. Therefore, we support parents to better understand early childhood development as well as support them to assess and set goals to reach their dreams for life-long outcomes and success. Research has proven children and families who attended Head Start were much more likely to become highly engaged and productive citizens as adults. Junior High and High School S2 grade reports were mailed home Friday. Juniors and seniors also have transcripts and an informational letter included in their mailing.

Community Jr/Sr Prom Info: Prom is scheduled for Saturday, June 27th @ the Community Building. Walk in and pictures will be from 5:30p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Dinner will start around 7:00. Toni Sipe will be taking pictures. Lindsay Bartlett will be catering the meal. Anyone attending will have their temperature taken before entering. Hand sanitizer will be available. The same rules will apply as if held at the school. The dance will be from 8:00 p.m to 12:00 a.m. There will be NO after prom event. Once the dance starts, it is a once in once out policy. You do not have to have formal attire to attend. Wearing nice clothes, like you would on a game day, is acceptable.
