Dear Lebo families:

Thank you for the friendly community welcome. I feel like I have already joined the Lebo circle with warm greetings and support from Mr. Ford, Mrs. Thomas, Mrs. Hampton, Mrs. Lochmann, the school board, staff and students! It was a privilege to attend the winter concerts, skits, and classes to meet students and their families. In January, we will be restarting 5th grade band, offering choir for junior high and students in high school whose schedules mesh, participating in Emporia Children’s Choir for interested 4th-7th graders, and getting ready for high school KSU concert band and basketball pep rallies. What a busy semester!

I am still basking in my recent graduation from Emporia State University on Saturday, December 16, 2022 with a bachelor in music education, instrumental emphasis for prek-12. I live in Lyndon with my husband Jonathan Moore, who pastors at Lyndon First Baptist Church and keeps wires connected for his work at Teladoc. We have two sons, David and Joshua,  in graphic design and media production at Flint Hills Technical College. Our two daughters have moved nearby. Annabelle works in Topeka at Barnes & Noble. Kaitlyn is in college working towards being an English teacher and someday pursuing administration through Kansas University.

I am a hands-on person who enjoys gardening, being outdoors, and various crafts. I am relaxed playing piano and I have played with clarinet primarily in college. I want to continue to learn more and more musical instruments throughout my life and help others be able to participate in musical groups. I  am thrilled to be able to be your music teacher at Lebo Schools and grateful for the opportunity to work with your children. Thank you for this privilege.

Please feel free to let me know how I can assist smoore@usd243ks.org  or 785 207 0380 (cell).

Sincerely,

Mrs. Moore
