OVERACHIEVING TEACHER WINNER

Hello, USD #243 Lebo/Waverly School District community!

We have some incredible news to share that exemplifies the spirit of our district. Mrs. Linda Hopkins, a cherished member of our school family and one of the most selfless individuals I've had the pleasure to know, recently received an exciting surprise from the Kidd Kraddick in the Morning radio show.

With her characteristic spirit of giving, Mrs. Hopkins entered a contest on the show, and guess what? She was chosen and received a phone call that was broadcasted nationally! It was announced on live radio that she had won $500 for her classroom. If you missed the broadcast, don't worry! You can catch up and hear the full excitement here: KiddNation's Overachieving Teacher Winner.

It's important to note that Mrs. Hopkins' thoughtfulness knows no bounds. Even as she battles cancer, she constantly thinks of others and how to enhance the learning experience for her students. Winning this prize for her classroom is just another testament to her dedication and love for our students.

Please join me in congratulating Mrs. Hopkins on this well-deserved recognition. Here's to the passion and commitment of teachers like her that make our district a special place to learn and grow.

Warmly,

Duane Ford, Ed.S.
Superintendent, USD #243 Lebo/Waverly School District.
