At Waverly Elementary, our commitment to creating an exceptional learning experience extends to every aspect of our school. Throughout the summer, our dedicated team has been hard at work to ensure a safe, inspiring, and nurturing environment for our young learners.
We are pleased to share that various renovations and repairs have taken place, leaving no stone unturned in our efforts to provide the best possible space for our students. To enhance cleanliness and hygiene, the floors are currently being rewaxed, bringing a fresh and polished look to our classrooms and hallways. Additionally, our carpets are undergoing thorough cleaning and shampooing, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for our students to learn and thrive.
Excitingly, I am thrilled to inform you that the Little Bullpups Daycare, in collaboration with Waverly Elementary, has secured grant funding to further improve our outdoor facilities. With a portion of the grant, an awning has been installed outside the daycare. This not only increases energy efficiency by providing shade and minimizing direct sunlight into the daycare, but it has quickly become a favorite spot for the children. The shaded area offers a cozy and inviting space where they can stay out of the sun while enjoying activities like drawing on the sidewalk.
We believe that every detail counts in creating an exceptional learning environment, and we are grateful for the ongoing support of our staff, parents, and community members. Together, we are committed to nurturing the growth and remarkable achievements of our young learners in the coming months.
