Lebo and Waverly are agricultural communities of approximately 900 and 550 residents. The major lakes: John Redmond, Melvern, and Pomona surround the 248 square mile school district with Interstate 35 providing direct access to major entertainment centers. We utilize two private contractors to provide transportation services for school day routes and extra curricular activities.

USD 243 focuses on academic excellence. The district is progressive in many areas of curriculum and instructional practice. Technology integration is an important component of instructional practice in our district. We are a 1:1 district with MacBook in grades 11-12 and Chromebooks in grades 6-10. Students in grades K-5 have access to iPads and MacBooks & Chromebooks.

The schools of Lebo-Waverly continue to meet the Standard of Excellence in all areas and have exceeded the NCLB Average Yearly Progress (AYP) standards. Our high school students are served by Allen Community College and Flint Hills Technical College. Education Resources are provided by the Coffey Special Education Cooperative.
