First Semester English Highlights

January has finally arrived, and I must say the first semester flew by! English classes were busy becoming accustomed to having a new teacher and diving into content. Freshmen read Of Mice and Men and participated in a Poetry Party to celebrate the end of their Poetry Unit. Sophomores read Animal Farm and the Holocaust memoir, Night. Juniors read several of our country's foundational documents as well as illustrated what they learned about Romanticism and Transcendentalism in a Summative Essay which was accompanied by a mural. Seniors read Frankenstein as well as other notable selections from British Literature. English classes weren't the only ones busy, though.  Intro to Teaching worked on creating mock classrooms as well as learning about the history of education, and the Computer Graphics class worked hard at building a website and learning how to put together the Bulldog Buzz 2.0 video.
