We are excited to be back in school and to be able to have sports! In order to stay in school and maintain the safety of student athletes, parents and staff, we will have to make some changes. Everyone must be willing and able to adapt and adjust. Some of those adjustments are not going to be the most popular decisions, but they are made in the interest of our kids and keeping athletics going as long as possible.
With that being said there will be changes this season at USD 243 home contests. By following the rules, you will be doing your part to ensure a long safe season for all of us.
In order to adapt to the every changing safety criteria, these protocols are for VOLLEYBALL and FOOTBALL. Updates to these policies will be updated as other seasons are approached.
Fan attendance will depend on the color phase that the school district is in for academics.
Please refer to the following information for fan attendance rules. Attendance will change based on the color level in which the district is experiencing at that time.
There will be no concession stand at volleyball matches or tournaments.
Green-
While in the color green, we will allow unlimited number of fans at home volleyball and football contests
.
Masks will need to be worn for entrance into the gym or the field. Social distancing will be encouraged when possible.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
If you are at a football event and can maintain the 6ft protocol you will be allowed to remove your mask for FOOTBALL CONTEST ONLY.
During volleyball matches, masks will be required when indoors. We will have two separate entrances for fans (one for home and one for visitors). Please be sure to use the correct entrance.
As masks are required indoors, failure to follow that rule will result in removal from the contest. No refund will be given.
**Lebo/Waverly will monitor opponent county restrictions on fan attendance numbers. Their county restrictions will be applied to the opponent for Lebo/Waverly home competitions.**
Yellow-
While in the color yellow, each player participating will be provided a card that will allow parent(s) and siblings to home events.
All children must be accompanied by an adult and seated in the seats.
Masks will need to be worn for entrance and social distancing will be required.
If you are at a football event and can maintain the 6ft protocol you will be allowed to remove your mask for FOOTBALL CONTEST ONLY.
During a volleyball match, a mask is required for the match’s event.
As masks are required indoors, failure to follow that rule will result in removal from the contest. No refund will be given.
**Lebo/Waverly will monitor opponent county restrictions on fan attendance numbers AND follow the Coffey County restrictions and apply them to all spectators.**
Orange
Football and Volleyball athletic events will be held with no fans in attendance.
Red-
There will be no athletic events played during this period.
As USD #243 has some of the best fans in the state, and we want to do everything possible to enhance your viewing experience for both home and away events. We are in the process of putting in place a Livestream platform for your viewing pleasure. There will be more details. to follow at a later date.
